"Fall of a God" is a visually striking CG short film that chronicles the dramatic downfall of a renowned mythological figure: the God of the Sea. As the deity’s might wanes, the film visualizes the shift of energy toward malevolence, symbolizing a profound loss of power.
Focusing on showcasing my skillset in Houdini FX: what started as a steep learning curve quickly turned into a passion. Specializing in FX and simulations, I’ve found my niche in creating visually compelling, realistic effects, from intricate particle systems to cinematic pyro simulations.
I struggled the most with the big splash flip simulation, which required a lot of optimization and iterative renders. In the end, it was the most fulfilling and rewarding shot in the film.
